The heart of our department is our Indigenous students and their successful achievement from Kindergarten through to Grade 12. We are dedicated to surrounding Indigenous students with the best educational opportunities and learning experiences by keeping ourselves knowledgeable and current on the most successful and prominent Indigenous pedagogical practices used locally, provincially, nationally, and globally. It is our deepest desire to attract and maintain strong partnerships with the local Indigenous communities as their children progress and success in the Vernon school district. We actively seek applications from Indigenous Teachers on an annual basis.
