Three foundational values—Connect, Reflect, and Respect—define the essence of Fulton, playing a pivotal role in crafting a supportive and inclusive community. Connect underscores the significance of building relationships and cultivating a sense of belonging. Reflect promotes self-awareness and a commitment to continuous improvement. Respect involves treating others with dignity and appreciating the richness of diversity. These values work together to create a positive and inclusive environment, where individuals can grow and thrive.
Student Success

Actions: What will we do to support all learners?
To improve literacy and numeracy outcomes on the Graduation Numeracy and Literacy Assessments. To close the achievement gap between indigenous graduates and other graduates. To have all students graduate with an understanding of Truth and Reconciliation.
Reflections & Results:
Educational Leaders are sharing and analyzing data about student proficiency and student growth on the literacy and numeracy graduation assessments. This data is helping guide decisions on how to best meet students where they are at. Grade eight teachers collaborating to best meet the grade eight students where they are and to help them transition to high school so they can be successful in their learning. All students are studying First Peoples courses to gain a better understanding of Truth and Reconciliation. First Peoples Principles of Learning are embedded into many course offerings.

Actions: What will we do to support all learners?
Fulton staff are partnering with district lead teachers and UBC professors to collaborate on improving transitions from elementary to secondary school. All SBRTs have been provided release time to take up new training to help meet the needs of our complex learners. Teachers also benefit from the plan's emphasis on leadership excellence and professional development.
Reflections & Results:
Ten Fulton teachers are working on this to increase success for our Middle Years learners. Mentorships, and Residencies have been implemented for new and veteran teachers so that they can collaborate. By investing in their growth and providing opportunities for skill enhancement, the plan empowers teachers to excel in their roles and deliver high-quality instruction.

Actions: What will we do to support all learners?
Rekindled our partnership with Ducks Unlimited Canada to help bring awareness to the wetlands that are on our school site. Students and teachers are continuing their work with the Climate Action Ripple Effect project. Services projects are continuing to be a favourite part of connecting with our larger community.
Reflections & Results:
Partnered with our feeder schools to allow our students to act as environmental stewards sharing the messages of climate change and environmental stewardship. Fulton students have been provided with the opportunity to work as role models to showcase their skills as future leaders. Classes have partnered to do buddy reading with primary students and senior citizens. Fundraising efforts have benefitted Fulton families as well as NGO’s throughout the North Okanagan. Participating in the CARE projects has allowed students to see the power of grassroots movements and to help them understand the role each of us has as a member of a community.
